The IMAGO-MOL cluster organized, on February 28, 2023, at the headquarters of the Society of Doctors and Naturalists in Iasi, a conference in order to increase the visibility of the cluster’s actions and the topic of artificial intelligence in medicine, within the project “Regional Center of Excellence for Diagnosis Personalization and Artificial Intelligence in Medicine and Imaging” (MEDIMAG-IA).
This project aims to improve the scientific and economic competitiveness of the members of the IMAGO-MOL Cluster through intelligent specialization in the field of health, namely early diagnosis, personalized treatment, monitoring and prognosis in oncology, with the use of new Artificial Intelligence technologies.
The members of the IMAGO-MOL Cluster, partners in the implementation of the project are: “Grigore T.Popa” University of Medicine and Pharmacy from Iași, “Sf Spiridon” Emergency County Clinical Hospital Iași, “Gheorghe Asachi” Technical University from Iași, Mindfully Technologies SRL ( Rayscape), Scan Expert SRL, Skyer Medical Imaging SRL and the North-East Regional Development Agency.
At the opening of the event, Mr. Vasile Asandei, general director of ADR Nord-Est, spoke. Dr. Lidia Ionescu, medical director of the “St. Spiridon” Emergency County Clinical Hospital in Iași, Mrs. Univ. dr. Manuela Ciocoiu, vice-rector of UMF “Grigore T. Popa” from Iași, Mr. prof. Dr. Iulian Ciocoiu, president of the Senate of the Technical University “Gheorghe Asachi” from Iasi and Mr. Gabriel Valet, manager of Scan Expert SRL.
During the meeting, the opportunities that the project creates for its members, as well as for the community in the North-East region, were presented.
Prior to the conference, the first meeting of the Working Group formed by the members of the cluster took place, in order to update the strategic documents of the Cluster and the related project portfolio.
The sections of the development strategy of the IMAGO-MOL Cluster for the period 2021-2027 that are subject to the revision process were reviewed and the actions and/or projects that were circumscribed to the strategic directions and that took place/implemented in period 2020 – 2023.
