The IMAGO-MOL Cluster is a partner in the INNOVATE-EU project, coordinated by Steinbeis 2i GmbH (Germany), together with the following organizations: Romanian Cluster Association (CLUSTERO), Gruenhof (Germany), IDIA Cluster (Spain), Fundación Zaragoza Ciudad del Conocimiento (Spain), Latvian Federation of Food Companies (Latvia), and AgriFood Lithuania DIH (Lithuania).

INNOVATE-EU aims to strengthen and connect five local innovation ecosystems, with the goal of addressing the innovation gap between these regions, integrating them into a European-wide network of innovation ecosystems, and supporting the development of start-ups and scale-ups in the deep tech sector.

The specific objectives are:

  1. Define a set of challenges to be addressed by the INNOVATE-EU project that will yield the highest positive impact on the innovation ecosystems in the moderate and emerging innovator INNOVATE-EU regions and produce a concrete action plan for addressing these challenges.
  2. Address the innovation gap by engaging the local innovation ecosystems in the INNOVATE-EU community an interconnected and inclusive innovation ecosystem.
  3. Stimulate investments in the deep tech sector and increase the market footprint of Start-ups and Scaleups emerging from moderate and emerging innovator regions by connecting the INNOVATE-EU innovation support community with European level communities and organizations.
  4. Provide deep tech Start-ups and Scale-ups especially from moderate and emerging innovator regions with the knowledge, tools, and connections necessary for successfully upscaling their businesses and entering new markets.
  5. Support the interconnection of innovation ecosystems beyond the INNOVATE-EU regions by acting as a platform for knowledge exchange between all projects funded under the same call and developing policy recommendations for promoting inclusivity and interconnectedness across the European Union.
