Almost 200 participants, three days of knowledge exchange, and one shared vision: advancing healthcare through artificial intelligence and innovation.

From October 21–23, 2026, Iași hosted the second edition of the National Conference AI4-MED Artificial Intelligence and Augmented Medicine: The Future of Precision Medicine, bringing together almost 200 participants from the medical, academic, research, technology, and business communities.

Organized by IMAGO-MOL Cluster as part of Innovation Week Iași, the event provided a platform for interdisciplinary dialogue, knowledge exchange, and collaboration on the opportunities and challenges of integrating artificial intelligence into healthcare.

The conference opened with a ceremony highlighting the importance of cooperation between research institutions, universities, healthcare organizations, public authorities, and the private sector in accelerating medical innovation.

Over three days, participants explored a wide range of topics, with a focus on:

  • AI in clinical practice: Real-world applications in stroke management, oncology, radiology, echocardiography, and patient monitoring.
  • European healthcare innovation: Collaborative initiatives, health data ecosystems, the European Health Data Space, and opportunities for connecting technology developers with healthcare providers.
  • Research and precision medicine: Digital biomarkers, biomedical data management, and AI-powered clinical decision support.
  • Responsible AI: Ethics, regulation, transparency, and trust in the development and implementation of medical AI solutions.
  • The next generation of innovators: Scientific poster presentations, research showcases, and projects developed by young talents in artificial intelligence and robotics.

The programme also featured international perspectives on academic research and scientific innovation, alongside discussions on how emerging technologies can move from research environments into everyday clinical practice.

Beyond the scientific programme, AI4-MED 2026 reinforced the importance of building a strong ecosystem where healthcare professionals, researchers, universities, technology companies, startups, and public institutions can work together towards more personalized, efficient, and data-driven healthcare.
