The second day of the AI4-MED National Conference was dedicated to innovation, strategic partnerships, and how technology is fundamentally transforming healthcare practices. The atmosphere remained equally dynamic and inquisitive, with participants ready to explore new perspectives on artificial intelligence applied in medicine.

The day began with an inspirational presentation by Dr. Guido Davidzon, Professor of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine (USA). In his keynote, “How Artificial Intelligence is Poised to Transform Molecular Imaging Practice”, he provided a clear vision of how AI will revolutionize molecular imaging, accelerate diagnostic processes, and open new directions in precision medicine.
Next, the session “AI in Healthcare: Solutions Developed by Research Teams, Institutes & Companies”, moderated by Carmen Mihai, IMAGO-MOL Cluster Manager, brought together academic leaders and researchers from top universities in Romania. Speakers included: Prof. Radu Iliescu, Vice-Rector, UMF Iași; Prof. Adrian Iftene, Vice-Rector, Alexandru Ioan Cuza University; Assoc. Prof. Simona Caraiman, Vice-Rector, Gheorghe Asachi Technical University; Assoc. Prof. Ștefan Busnatu, Vice-Rector, UMF “Carol Davila”; Prof. Vasile Drug (UMF Iași), and Dr. Eng. Marilena Ianculescu. The session emphasized the role of interdisciplinary research and institutional collaboration in developing AI solutions capable of addressing real healthcare needs.
The afternoon began with a series of success stories in the panel “AI Solutions Implemented in Clinics and Hospitals”, moderated by Florin Cardasim, CEO of Strongbytes. Professionals from companies and hospitals — including Rayscape, Apollo AI Technologies, Synaptiq.io, Ixodron / Ixomed, as well as representatives from Sf. Spiridon County Emergency Clinical Hospital, Prof. Dr. Eduard Apetrei Municipal Hospital Buhuși, and “N. Oblu” Neurosurgery Hospital — presented concrete examples of AI technologies already in clinical practice. These implementations demonstrated the direct impact of innovation on patients and medical workflows.
Later, the panel “The Role of Clusters and Digital Innovation Hubs in Developing Projects with Impact in Personalized Medicine”, again moderated by Carmen Mihai, discussed the role of collaboration platforms in accelerating innovative projects. Speakers included Alina Capitanu (Imago-Mol / North-East ADR / MEDIC NEST Metacluster), Stamatiki Kritas (CEBR / HBio), Cristina Baghiu (Digital Innovation Zone EDIH), and Daniel Cosnița (CLUSTERO). The panel highlighted how clusters and innovation hubs connect ecosystems, people, and resources, contributing to the development of personalized medicine across Europe.
