The project Made in North-East | EDIH 2.0: Powering Innovation and Public Sector Digital Transformation through AI and Deep Tech – From Romania to Europe, funded through the Digital Europe Programme (DIGITAL), represents the continuation of the regional initiative dedicated to digitalization and innovation in the North-East Region, with a focus on the development and implementation of Artificial Intelligence technologies.
The consortium members are: “Gheorghe Asachi” Technical University of Iași – coordinator, Digital Innovation Zone Association, Atelierul de Idei Train-IC SRL, Grapefruit SRL, Strongbytes Consulting SRL, the North-East Regional Development Agency, “Grigore T. Popa” University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Iași, the North-East Regional Innovative Cluster for Molecular and Structural Imaging (IMAGO-MOL), “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iași, the “George Enescu” National University of Arts of Iași, the “Ion Ionescu de la Brad” University of Life Sciences of Iași, the Factory 4.0 Digital Innovation Hub Association, and the Association of Digital Innovation Hubs in Romania – RO-DIH.
The project’s goal is to strengthen the North-East region as a regional hub for digital transformation and innovation in deep tech technologies, including Artificial Intelligence, in order to address a broader spectrum of digitalization needs in both the public and private sectors.
Services provided by Digital Innovation Zone:
- Development of the innovation ecosystem and community outreach activities
- Test Before Invest (TBI): evaluation of AI, Quantum, Cybersecurity, and other emerging technologies
- Training and skills development services, including an AI Helpdesk
- Support for access to funding and investment for innovation
