The 7th edition of the Conference on Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging took place between March 27–29, 2025. IMAGO-MOL Cluster joined the organizers – the Romanian Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging, “Ștefan cel Mare” University, and Suceava County Emergency Hospital – for a national event with international participation.
The panel Radionuclide Therapy and Theranostics – Targeted Alpha-Particle Therapy: Updates and Future Perspectives, coordinated by the IMAGO-MOL Cluster and co-chaired by Prof. Cipriana Stefănescu and Prof. Dr. Renata Mikolajczak (The National Centre for Nuclear Research – POLATOM), highlighted advances in TAT (targeted alpha-particle therapy), both in the preclinical and clinical areas. The contribution of the European SECURE project – dedicated to developing the supply chain for novel radionuclides for medical applications in TAT – was also emphasized.
Prof. Renata Mikolajczak, coordinator of the SECURE project, presented the results and strategic outlook of the initiative. Carmen Mihai completed the panel by discussing potential directions beyond the project.
As in previous years, IMAGO-MOL awarded the Promising Young Scientist in Nuclear Medicine prize – this time to resident physician, Iulian Alexandru Taciuc (Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy).
