The North East region was selected by the consortium that implements the CHERRIES project, Constructing Healthcare Environments through Responsible Research Innovation and Entrepreneurship Strategies, as a mirror region to implement the model developed on its territory, capitalizing on its own territorial resources. Three other regions, Burgos, Coimbra and West Ireland, were also selected.
At the level of the North-East region, the consortium is coordinated by the North-East RDA, and the members are the IMAGO-MOL Cluster as a key player in the field of health, together with the Hospital and Clinic Providence from Iasi, as a provider of medical services.
CHERRIES is a project funded by the HORIZON 2020 program aimed at experimenting with responsible research and innovation policies (RRI) in the health sector in three European territories – Murcia (Spain), Örebro (Sweden) and Cyprus, through involvement in regional pilot actions aimed at :
– Identifying the needs of the health sector at territorial level
– Encourage the proposal and co-creation of innovative solutions for the identified needs
– Stimulating the processes of institutional reflection on how to innovate products and services in the health sector through participatory approaches
– Present evidence-based recommendations for reviewing sectoral policies, strategies and tools to support innovation.
On January 28, 2022, the kickoff meeting for the mirror regions took place, in which they were presented and discussed during the facilitation and mentoring process, which will take place until December 2022.
