During March 2021, the IMAGO-MOL Cluster team developed an application to obtain specific assistance within the Technical Assistance Facility (TAF), the European platform for smart specialization (S3P-Industry), aiming at its proposal to develop an interregional platform for research and development of new radiotracers.

The project proposed by the IMAGO-MOL Cluster and facilitated by the representatives of ADR Nord-Est, trains its members UMF Grigore T. Popa from Iasi, the Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry “Petru Poni”, but also national collaborators, respectively the National Institute for Physics and Nuclear Engineering – “Horia Hulubei”. To these are added partners from the European Platform for Intelligent Specialization in Personal Medicine (S3P4PM): Clust-ER Industrie della Salute e del Benessere from the Emilia Romagna region, Italy with its member Istituto Scientifico Romagnolo per lo Studio e la Cura dei Tumori, Slovenian Innovation Hub together with the University Clinical Center Ljubljana and the Josef Stefan Institute in Ljubljana. The National Center for Nuclear Research, Polatom, the Radioisotope Center in Poland also joined the S3P4PM consortium.

The North-East Region through the North-East Regional Development Agency joined in 2019 the European Platform for Intelligent Specialization in the field of Personalized Medicine (S3P4PM).
