Between 12- 13 February 2025, the third Veles consortium meeting took place at Bucharest.
The discussions focused on the following topics:
- the legal, ethical, and business aspects of our project
- the framework for smart health data integration
- the project four pilot studies: Cerebral Tumors (Romania) | Alzheimer’s (Bulgaria) | Cancer Treatment (Greece) | Dementia (Cyprus)
- next steps to drive innovation forward
- Celebrating the achievements so far
During the plenary meeting, our Consortium Partners from the Executive Agency for Higher Education, Research, Development and Innovation Funding – UEFISCDI led a foresight workshop, using visioning exercises to explore the future of the Health Data Space.
Through collaborative brainstorming, we:
- Identified key priorities, challenges, and opportunities to shape the next phases of our work.
- Debated use cases for various stakeholders—individuals, healthcare professionals, researchers, policymakers, and regulators—ensuring the Health Data Space benefits all.
Exchanged perspectives on what matters most to each group, refining our vision and uncovering new scenarios for innovation.
