29 of October 2019 – World Stroke Day, initiated by World Stroke Organization (WSO), since 2010, is dedicated to different actions of information and prevention towards patients and medical doctors involved in diagnostic and management of this public health emergency. Romania is ranked on the first place in Europe regarding stroke related mortality (21,64%), and stroke is the second cause of death in Romania, after cardiovascular diseases.
In this context, IMAGO-MOL Cluster together with University of Medicine and Pharmacy „Grigore T. Popa” of Iasi and Emergency Hospital “Prof. Dr. N. Oblu“ Iasi are organizing a workshop destined to possibilities of developing an app for mobile for recognizing the early stroke signs. IT specialists from companies and universities together with medical doctors will take part.
Mr. Cosmin Alecu, MD, PhD, Stroke Unit, CENTRE HOSPITALIER SUD FRANCILIEN, Corbeil-Essonnes, France, a neurologist specialized in a stroke unit, diaspora researcher, will participate in the meeting.
