The project MEDIMAG-IA ran from October 13, 2022 to December 31, 2023 and has led to the improvement of the scientific and economic competitiveness of the IMAGO-MOL Cluster members through smart specialization in the health sector.

The project has been co-financed from the European Regional Development Fund through the Competitiveness Operational Program 2014-2020, SMIS code 2014+ 152740.

The value of the project was 7,201,405.28 lei, of which non-refundable financing 4,669,367.98 lei.

The project has led to the following results:

  • acquisition and installation of a SPECT-CT system with related equipment within the “Prof. Dr. Valeriu Rusu” Nuclear Medicine Laboratory at the “Sf. Spiridon” Hospital in Iași, as well as 8 IT&C pieces of equipment within the TUIASI Data Center, complemented by the employment of 4 researchers,
  • organization of 3 project generation seminars at the North-East region level (Piatra Neamț, Suceava, and Vaslui), which contributed to the development of 5 innovative project proposal sheets,
  • generation of a value chain analysis in the field of personalized medicine,
  • conducting 10 innovation audits for SME cluster members and in-depth competence analyses for 3 of these 10 SMEs,
  • obtaining the ESCA gold medal for cluster management,
  • monitoring and reviewing the cluster’s strategic planning documents, complemented by a regional expansion campaign through which 13 new organizations joined the cluster,
  • supporting cluster SME members in participating in the 2023 European Congress of Radiology: Rayscape, Scanexpert – Medical Imaging Center, and Skyer Medical Imaging, and in participating in SRIM 2023 – the National Congress of Radiology and Medical Imaging, by the companies Pixel Data and Skyer Medical Imaging,
  • organization of Cluster2Cluster missions in physical format together with Clust-ER Health – Emilia-Romagna (Italy) and virtual ones with The Styrian Health Tech Cluster from Austria and Basque Health Cluster from Spain,
  • organization of 4 training sessions in Artificial Intelligence in Medicine,
  • organization of a hackathon and a medtech conference.
